In a town of luxury, our top pick, CAPELLA, is a little off of the beaten path, but far and above everything else in town. Despite being located on Sentosa Island, which seems remote, it’s a quick 15 minutes from the main Singapore attractions.
Raffles would be our pick for the most old Singapore charm, high Sense of Place, but the price tag and service are subpar. Enjoy a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar and walk by Ava Garner’s picture before heading back to Sentosa to the dream that is the CAPELLA.
The Ritz is a solid and very central pick for business travelers with great service, but a very corporate look.
The Fullerton, location on the Singapore River, is fantastic, but again may be an option to visit rather than stay.
The St. Regis is grand and tends to be business travelers' favorite, although the Orchard Road shopping district location is not our favorite and we think the Capella is just that much more grand and charming in every way.
Bottom Line: Capella, Capella, Capella if you are up for the Sentosa location.
