The Bowery Hotel
335 Bowery, New York, NY 10003, United States
BOTTOM LINE
FABULOUS VIBE, CHARM & DOWNTOWN LOCATION OVERRIDES SMALL ROOMS. BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK AND MY GO TO IN NYC!
Toolkit inside scoop

Love this hotel! Think gorgeous 1930s style old NY. Great location. Hipster vibe. One of the best bars for people watching, with a huge fireplace - an absolute must for winter. Service ranges from high attitude to wonderful and has definitely been improving my last few stays.

Inside Scoop This hotel is incredibly unique and authentic to New York City. Its East Village location can be atypical for business travelers, but it has the best of what Manhattan has to offer and is a quick subway ride to Midtown. Service can be spotty and regular rooms trend on the small side. If you opt for the standard Queen Room, ask for the Queen Deluxe instead, which is in the same price category and tends to be much larger. The non-corner suites are too small to be worth the mark-up, however, the corner suites are SPECTACULAR, with panoramic views of the East Village.

Wonderful Sense of Place. Old NYC - you will feel like you are walking off the set of Gangs of New York.
Toolkit head to head

Regular rooms at The Bowery are the best Bang for Your Buck. Mid-level rooms at Thompson LES trump the Hotel on Rivington. The highest end corner suites at the Hotel on Rivington trump all!

Toolkit bang for buck

Best Bang for Your Buck in NYC, from the neighborhood to the vibe and décor. At a starting price of $375 this is a good deal. Above $450 I'd probably start looking at The Crosby.
